2019: Researchers in the Wild: How to Pursue your Research Career Beyond the University

Description:

In this session, a panel of researchers will showcase diverse research pathways, provide information about what government and industry employers want from researchers, and give tips on how to use your university experience to develop relationships with research industries outside the academy. Panelists will include Norman Ricklefs (Ancient History) and Virginia Mumford (Australian Institute of Health Innovation).

This session will suit ECRs who want to broaden the appeal of their research and want to know more about research careers outside the university.
