Multivariate Analysis and Beyond by JMP workshop

Statistical Consulting Hub is hosting a Workshop on Multivariate Analysis and Beyond by JMP on Tuesday, 21 July, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at 17WW G02 Lecture Theatre. The workshop will be conducted by Volker Kraft (JMP Academic Ambassador) and Curt Hinrichs (Director of the JMP Global Academic Program).

Are you ready to move beyond simple t-tests and linear regressions? In modern research and industry, data is rarely simple - it is multidimensional. Join this interactive hands-on workshop designed to bridge the gap between statistical theory and real-world application. 

Using JMP Student Edition, you will learn how to navigate complex datasets, uncover hidden patterns, and communicate your findings through dynamic visualisations. No prior experience with JMP is required - just a curiosity for what your data is trying to tell you! 

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Master the JMP workflow: Navigate the JMP interface with confidence, from data prep to "Visual Data Discovery."
• Simplify complexity: Use methods like Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to reduce high-dimensional data into manageable, interpretable insights.
• Identify natural groups: Apply techniques like Clustering to find hidden structures and segments within your datasets.
• Predict outcomes: Build and interpret statistical models and machine learning tools, and manage validation.
• Tell a data story: Create "Publication Ready" interactive graphics that make your research stand out to reviewers and stakeholders.

Note for students: Please ensure you have JMP Student Edition (free download at www.jmp.com/student) installed on your laptop prior to the session. We will be "learning by doing" from the very first minute!
