Mid Career Researcher Development Program 2026 - Expressions of interest now open!
| Description: | Complete the Expression of Interest form by 7 May 2026. The program kicks off on 21 May 2026 and you will be notified of the outcome of your expression of interest via email. The Mid-Career Researcher Development Program is a transformational program focusing on your career, research, and leadership development. The program is facilitated over three months by senior research leaders and mentors, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Performance and Development), Professor Amanda Barnier, and Faculty of Arts Mentoring Lead, Professor Clare Monagle. Through a series of full and part-day workshops and seminars you will engage in research career planning, portfolio approaches to goal setting, prioritisation and time management, and leadership development. You will develop cross-institutional relationships with your program peers, learn from others and explore solutions to shared challenges. Alongside your facilitators, you will hear from expert guest speakers and panellists including Executive Deans; DVC (Research); Chair, Academic Senate; FSE Professor Kirstie Fryirs; Deputy Deans, Research and Innovation; Associate Deans, Research Training and Performance, Faculty Research Managers and Coordinators; leaders from university research support services; and invited external guests.
