Interdisciplinary research supervision practices
| Description: | This interactive workshop introduces a range of resources and approaches that graduate research supervisors can engage when negotiating the complexity of interdisciplinary research supervision in practice. The workshop has been designed by colleagues at the University of Bristol, UK, and piloted with academic communities across the South West of England, and Wales. It will be led by Dr Helen Thomas-Hughes (Academic Director for Interdisciplinary Research Training, Associate Professor in Community-Engaged Research and Pedagogy) and Dr Terence McMaster (Academic Director for PGR (Science and Engineering), Associate Professor in Physics). There is no pre-reading required for this workshop but you might be interested to read some recent blogs on the joys and challenges of interdisciplinary research supervision published through the University of Bristol's Institute for Teaching and Learning (BILT): |
