Manage your supervisor relationship: Student Panel session

Are you just starting your Graduate Research journey, or further along and want some new perspectives on how to work with supervisors? This panel offers the opportunity to learn from experienced Graduate Research students.

Your panel of Graduate Research students who have either recently submitted or will submit soon:

  • Diogo Campos Teixera, Macquarie Business School
  • Icaro de Oliveira Rosa, Faculty of Arts
  • Emily Johnson, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Science
  • Deborah Wareham, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Science. 

Join us to explore common questions and strategies around building strong, effective supervisor relationships:

  •  What you *can* (and *shouldn't*) expect from your supervisor 
  • Understanding supervisors' "styles"
  • Practical tips to communicate proactively and effectively,
  • How to set mutual expectations, manage feedback, and look after your supervisor (yes...it's mutual)

Why attend? 

These seasoned Graduate Research students will offer their insights, experience examples, hot tips. They'll answer your questions that will help you enhance your thesis and publication progress, career opportunities, and wellbeing (yours and your supervisors').
