Manage your supervisor relationship: student Panel session

Description:

Smart graduate researchers invest time and effort into building a strong, positive working relationship across the peaks and valleys of a research candidature journey.

This online session gives you the opportunity to share the perspectives of actual Graduate Research students who have either recently submitted or will submit soon. These seasoned Graduate Research students will offer their insights, experience examples, hot tips, and field your questions. You'll learn:

  •  What you *can* (and *shouldn't*) expect from your supervisor
  • Understanding supervisors' "styles"
  • Practical tips to communicate proactively and effectively,
  • How to set mutual expectations, manage feedback, and look after your supervisor (yes...it's mutual)

Register for this workshop to enhance this important professional relationship skill that will enhance your thesis progress, publication success and impact, career opportunities, supportive networks, wellbeing (yours and your supervisors'), and a fulfilling community.

You will have opportunities to engage in productive discussion and pose questions in the session. Here is an anonymous Question form for you to send questions in advance, if you like.

A Zoom link will be emailed the day before the workshop.
