Show Up and Write! [Tues] Weekly online co-writing session

Description:

Lock in Locked some focused writing time on your thesis!

All you have to do is Show-up and write!

Join some fellow research students and use your virtual co-presence to help focus, motivate, and commit to solid writing periods.

Whether in person or via a video call, having others visibly present helps model the behaviour that we want to ourselves to do. Social presence also provides gentle accountability.

How it works:

  • Say hi at the start, and if you like, share a writing goal that you're working on. Then simply start writing.
  • Keep your microphone off, but if it's ok, leave your camera on so that others can benefit from your presence, too.

We've currently set this session for every Tuesday 9am-11am, Sydney time, and are trialling these times for February. See Saturdays for a second weekly session.

Note: We'll review the success of the sessions over the last month (Tuesday and Saturday mornings), and will post new sessions, with adjustments if needed, after this date. Stay tuned!

If you'd like to see sessions at alternative times, please email gr.experience@mq.edu.au OR simply post in the MQ Graduate Researchers Online (Join the group here).
