One-Day Writing Retreat, ON CAMPUS

Description:

This one-day, on-campus writing retreat provides a structured program to help progress your thesis and your writing skills. The retreat is scheduled at 10am-4pm, Tuesday 10 March. Lunch, coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided to fuel your productivity (nb. BYO coffee mug for tea and coffee). There will also be access to 1:1 consultations with a Graduate Research Development advisor.

A Writing Retreat aims to provide participants with an opportunity to break away from usual activities to focus solely on writing. So, you’ll need to make arrangements to participate for those hours.

For those of you who cannot come to campus, we are running an online writing retreat in parallel.

What to bring:

  • Laptop and power cord
  • Mug (if you want tea or coffee)
  • Water bottle
  • Seat cushion, headphones (optional)
  • A short, detailed writing plan to work on

Registration closes 5pm Monday 9 March

Directions to venue: Conference Room 183 is located on Level 1 of the Student Connect building (18 WW). Use the stairs or take the lift on your right to reach Level 1. Then, walk through the glass door and you will see it ahead.
