Visual Communication: Infographics

Description:

Want to improve your Visual Communication as a Graduate Researcher?

Infographics are a great way to communicate data quickly and often in one glance. They give your audience an opportunity to get an overall ‘snapshot’ of your research and can include data, graphs, images and text. Infographics can be used to simplify complex concepts, share information quickly, create better knowledge recall, draw the audience’s attention to an important issue, provide a snapshot of a larger picture, and convey a set of actions or interrelated concepts.

Upon completing this workshop, students will understand the basic principles of design, the purpose of an infographic, how to use templates, how to use graphics to convey your research story to a variety of audiences, the importance of creating a visual toolkit/portfolio.

A Certificate of Completion is issued to students who attend both sessions. The workshop is over 2 consecutive weeks. Thursday 10am-12pm.
