Graduate Research Welcome 2026 (S2/July Intake)

Commencing students in the PhD, MPhil, MRes and Graduate Diplomas of Research are warmly invited to this Graduate Research Welcome morning-tea, hosted by the Graduate Research Academy (GRA). 

This welcome is for students from all four Faculties - join us for a catered morning tea, and meet people from your own department and beyond. 

As part of this Welcome, you will:

• 9:45am: Meet your fellow students and enjoy morning tea
• 10am: Be welcomed by the Graduate Research leadership team, and gain an overview of the dedicated Research resources and support available to you
• 10:30am: Network with your fellow researchers and key contacts for your Faculty
• 11am: Take a campus tour with experienced research students  who can share their tips & secrets (optional, approx. 30 mins). 
• Even if you're not new to Macquarie, this Welcome is important! the PhD introduces new rules, structures, and resources that you need to know! 

This Welcome is for all Graduate Research students commencing in Session 2, and Global PhD students who've arrived at Macquarie recently.  If you missed a Welcome earlier in the year, you are also warmly invited!
