Thesis Formatting with Word (Online)

Description:

This workshop will be conducted online over 2 mornings.

Formatting long documents with Microsoft Word can be challenging and inefficient without certain Word skills and knowledge. This course will give you the skills and tools to handle large, multi-page documents, such as your thesis and that can be used during all stages of your thesis documentation. Therefore, we recommend Graduate Researchers take this workshop as early as possible.

Please note that this workshop does not teach specific MQ department/faculty formatting requirements; rather it will equip you with the skills to format large Word documents as required. You are advised to ask your supervisors if there are preferred formatting styles in your discipline, and refer to research theses from your discipline on this website: https://figshare.mq.edu.au/theses

Macquarie University's thesis formatting requirements can be found here: https://students.mq.edu.au/study/graduateresearch/prepare-for-completion/prepare-for-submission
