Storytelling Your Thesis:communicating your research to non-specialist audiences [online]
Description: |
***This workshop will be held in hybrid. If you wish to attend on campus, please register for Storytelling your thesis [On Campus]. If you wish to attend online, please register here***
Communicating your research to a non-specialist audience is a valuable skill that can help broaden the reach and impact of your research. However, it can be a challenge, distilling the essence of your research into a cohesive story using language that a non-specialist audience can understand. In this workshop we will discuss key components and considerations when communicating your research to non-specialist audiences, as well as explore the narrative of your own research. NB. This workshop will be preceeded (1:30-2pm) by an information session on the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition – a competition that challenges GR students to present their research to a non-specialist audience within 3 min and with one static slide. If you are interested in attending the 3MT Info Session, please register separately.
