2021: Advice to my ECR-self online panel session

Description:

**Part of the ECR Network's Explore ~ Consider ~ Redefine: A suite of career events for ECRs

Wouldn't it be great if you could travel back in time and share what you know now with your younger or less experienced self? Have you ever reached an important phase in your career and thought "if only I knew when I was starting out what I know now"? While time travel still remains in the realm of science fiction (or with Hermoine if you're a Harry Potter fan), the ECR Network is providing the next best thing.

Four mid-career researchers will share with you their advice on navigating the early career research stage. They will discuss their career journeys, how they responded to the challenges they faced as an ECR, how they made the most of the the opportunities that presented, and share what they wished they had known when they were ECRs – advice to their ECR-self.

Dr Helen Wolfenden (Faculty of Arts ECR Network Representative) will facilitate this panel of mid-career researchers. Joining the panel will be: Dr Emilie Ens (Faculty of Science and Engineering), Dr Edwin Lim (Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences), Dr Michelle Lim (Faculty of Arts) and Dr Ben Wang (Macquarie Business School).

This session will be delivered via Zoom.
