2021: MQBS HDR writing workshops: How to write a critical literature review?

Description:

Specifically focusing on the field of busines and economics, the workshops aim to foster effective knowledge in the constituting elements of the thesis or research article and cultivate writing skills for communicating research ideas at high standards. Each workshop is comprised of deconstruction of writing skills, analysis of illustrative texts extracted from top tier journals, and discussion. Newly commenced MRes (direct entry into Year 2) and PhD students are highly encouraged to enrol in all the workshops for development of a comprehensive know-how in scholarly writing. Or alternatively, you can choose to enrol in workshops interesting to you.

This workshop covers the following topics:

  • The elements of a critical literature review
  • The structure of a literature review
  • The effective paragraph development
  • Other nuts and bolts of writing literature review
