2021: Deep Work Morning Sessions (Online via Zoom)

Description:

Even at the best of times, keeping our attention on where it's most productive can be challenging. Right now, with all that is going on around us, establishing a deliberate and effective work routine may be the first thing to disappear. But showing up and making time each day to do deep work can help us stay grounded in the present and focused on embracing the ordinary. Especially when so little feels normal or predictable, maintaining a daily routine can be precious, and enlivening.

The computer scientist and bestselling author Cal Newport describes deep work as cultivating the ability to focus without distraction on a cognitively challenging task. Whether this is writing, reading, thinking, or planning, the ability to go deep matters for how well we work, and how connected we feel to the work.

Are you keen to carve out some (or more) focused time for writing or working on your respective projects? Here's your motivation!

There are now two Zoom time slots for anyone wanting to establish a focused work routine:

Mondays to Fridays, 9am-10am:

https://macquarie.zoom.us/j/171886921

Mondays to Wednesdays, 10am-12pm (using pomodoro technique):
