2021: Mindful Drawing

Description:

We all believe that writing is a creative activity, but a lot of us get trapped into our own negative thoughts about our research work. So, let’s take some time out to raise awareness of the internal chatter by engaging in a productive and creative activity.

Join Sarah to get centred, relaxed and draw in a space designed to calm your senses and go inwards. Mindful drawing is a great way to let go of stresses and focus your mind through the exploration of colour, shape and form. You’ll even be surprised at what you can create!

Pastels and paper will be provided, however feel free to bring your own if you have a preference for what you'd like to work with. This will be a judgement-free and relaxing time for YOU, so please drop any expectations of yourself. There is no requirement to be 'good at art' or drawing - anyone and everyone benefit from this workshop!

Some benefits you may take out of this experience are:

  • Learn to trust a process and keep going
  • Increased awareness of thoughts and mental chatter
  • Permission to let go into a more mindful and meditative state
