2021: Beyond the company website: Developing business research skills for employment and research collaboration

Description:

Would you like to connect with like-minded organisations to collaborate with in research?

Are you looking to work in industry post PhD?

If so business research skills are very beneficial to your search. Whether you are researcher trying to identify potential companies for collaboration or are a job seeker in a competitive job market, reliable information about a company, it’s executives and the industry it operates in will help give you a competitive edge.

In this webinar Lisa Fittock, MQ Library, will show you through the databases available to you as a HDR candidate to enhance your understanding of organisations relevant to your areas of research. Through the use of these tools you can start to create a list of potential employers (or research partners) in order to tap into the hidden job (research opportunity) market,

Courtney Sullivan, MQ Corporate Engagement, will also share some examples of best practice in researching organisations.
