2020: Resilience & Motivation by HDR Professional Skills and Student Wellbeing

Ashwin Singh from Campus Wellbeing has been runnng these workshops for a number of years for HDRs and now in this time of COVID-19 we are aware of how much more difficult it is to maintain motivation and to keep focus on your research and writing. 

Resilience - Explore your own resources of resilience, looking at your strengths and skills. You will explore how to see and respond to challenges as ways to grow, personally and professionally. You will also build on skills to deal with situations the make you feel vulnerable and improve your ability to recover from setbacks.

Motivation - Understand your own motivational patterns and explore your core values. You will also work through ways to understand blocks to motivation, such as unhelpful thoughts or beliefs and conflicts between values. You will build on ways to improve motivation, through better planning, motivational hacks and using 'bad' habits more productively
