Research Agreement and Contract Essentials

Description:

Agreements and contracts formalise the rights and obligations between parties to enable them to maximise benefits and mitigate risk.  This session provides an overview of the main types of research agreements and contracts used for partner-funded projects.  It then highlights the important terms and conditions that researchers need to be aware of.  Lastly, it explains the central roles of Research Services, the Office of Commercialisation and Legal Office staff in the contract negotiation, drafting, review and sign-off process.  This information session is best provided on request for academic departments, research centres, or small groups and can be customised to suit your needs.
