2017: A Practical Approach to (Academic) Event Management for Beginners

Planning to run an academic event or would like to participate in running an event but have no prior experience? Do you want to improve your skills and learn better ways of running events? This introductory program is designed especially for HDR candidates with a practical approach so that you will gain 'hands-on' experience to build your confidence so that you can feel equipped to manage an event.

The program covers what to plan for and, look out for in an event and tips and tools for event management. You will get to practice preparing for an event using scenarios with an opportunity to work in groups and to gain valuable feedback from other participants.
